Will Lanie Parish Be the First to Find Out About Castle and Beckett? Tamala Jones Tells All — Exclusive

Ever since Castle creator Andrew Marlowe spilled that Castle and Beckett will attempt to keep their romance under wraps in Season 5, we've been dying to know which meddlesome member of the 12th precinct will be the first to out our newly coupled leads.

Wetpaint Entertainment recently caught up with series star Tamala Jones, who is under the impression that her character, smart and sassy M.E. Lanie Parish, has it in the bag. After all, Lanie does know a thing or two about secret interoffice trysts.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

"There is a scene — and it's a morgue scene — where [Lanie] notices that something's different. Actually, she notices at the crime scene too," Tamala dished. "Beckett's like, 'No, no I'm not doing anything different,' and they get into the morgue and she figures out, 'You're having sex!'"

It should come as no surprise that Lanie eventually puts the pieces together (she is Beckett's best friend, after all), but we're still in the dark about the timeline of events.

"She may not know so soon," Tamala teased, "but she knows that Kate is no longer sexless."



Is it possible that either Ryan or Esposito could beat Lanie to the punch? Absolutely. And you may be surprised to hear which sidekick Tamala thinks has the upper hand.

"I want to say Esposito, but the way that Ryan's been playing, it might be him," she said with a slight chuckle. "He's very sneaky! He might walk in and see something. That's what I'm guessing."
